A Redditer split opinions with his takeaway advice after sharing a video of a working hack online.
He explained that those who have heated seats in their cars can use them to help their meal stay at a good temperature.
The guy suggested simply turning the function on and popping your takeaway bag on top for a fun ride home.
The post was accompanied by a clip of him demonstrating the fast food hack with a bag full of McDonald’s sweets.
The method succeeded in sparking a heated debate online, with Reddit users raving about the transfer technique.
Some couldn’t believe he assumed the majority of drivers had a car equipped with the luxury of heated seats.
Someone wrote, “Is this some kind of rich person’s hack that I’m too poor to understand?”
Another said, “Yeah, what a cool little kid. My car seat heater is the sun.”
And a third wrote: “Nice even for a ketchup leak or greasy burger poorly sealed.”
A fourth added, “Your audacity to assume I have a car with heated seats.”
But others were more accepting of the man’s idea, though they were not sure it could be properly carried out.
One commented: “The seats in my car have been heated, but it takes a certain load weight to take advantage of the heat with which the heat coils are placed.
“I don’t think this concept will work in my car!”
Another said, “I’ve found that placing food on the floor and then turning on foot warmers works best.”
A third wrote: “The hot seat guy here… yeah that doesn’t really work that well, give it a try.”
But one person insisted the takeaway tip worked for keeping your weekly treat warm.

They explained, “I do this all the time!
“I’ve even used it to get my just-bought butter to ‘room temperature’ so I can make the cookies as soon as I get home instead of having to wait.”
